Robyn Averbach

Robyn was born in Saginaw, Michigan and grew up splitting her time between Michigan in the summer and Tennessee during the school year. After going to college in northern Michigan at Ferris State University on an academic and debate scholarship, Robyn relocated to Boulder, Colorado for law school.

During her three years in Boulder, Robyn fell in love with Colorado (and a boy from Colorado), so she forewent her plans of moving to San Francisco upon law school graduation to live out her own version of the Tails of the City and instead married the boy from Colorado and joined an insurance defense firm in Denver where she remained for 20 years.

Robyn recently rejoined her former colleagues Jeff Ruebel and Casey Quillen at Ruebel Quillen, LLC where she continues representing her same clients. Robyn's practice focuses on construction defect litigation, professional liability, commercial litigation, personal injury defense, including catastrophic brain injuries, consumer reporting act claims, and insurance first party bad faith defense.

Robyn is an AV rated attorney by not only her peers, but also the Colorado judiciary and was a Colorado Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Robyn has served on the Colorado Defense Lawyer's CLE Committee and has authored amicus curie briefs on behalf of the organization.

Robyn has extensive successful first chair trial experience in both Colorado and Wyoming, including district court jury trials, bench trials and oral arguments before the Colorado Court of Appeals. In addition to her ability to litigate cases in the courtroom, Robyn has a proven ability to develop and utilize strategic litigation plans that coupled with her inter-personal skills have allowed her to favorably resolve hundreds of cases prior to trial, minimizing her clients' litigation expenses.

When Robyn is not practicing law she can be found skiing or hiking with her family, cuddling her golden retriever Oliver or dabbling in comedic writing.
